Dear members,

The match season has started and your support is very welcome for when the teams have home matches and this season we have one more team in the Sussex League to meet demand. Over the next few weeks we have got the following home fixtures:

• 1st Team v Midhurst on 27th September
• 3rd Team v David Lloyd on 1st October
• Development Team v Middleton Development on 4th October

We are looking for new sponsors and have a variety of packages available and one of which can include branding on a new range of club kit which we hope to introduce this season. If you would like to find out more, please contact Hils in the office hsc@horshamsportsclub.com

We are planning a series of events for this season so please make a note of the dates with the exception of the first one, which is having to be rescheduled!

• Horsham Graded Tournament date to be announced shortly. This
will also be available to non members.
• 28th December, Christmas Doubles
• 17th Feb-7th March 2025 O'35s
• 28th April-16th May Main club tournaments
• 15th or 29th June Two Pint Trev handicap

We have been looking into the last court times available to book, which currently stands at 7.45pm. Whilst this is linked with bar hours in the evening, you may be able to request a 8.30pm court Weds to Sat if the bar is likely to be open longer those evenings. Please enquire through the office or check with the bar.

On a serious note, it has been brought to our attention that courts are being mis-used by just a few members with courts being booked for solo practices later in the day and then more than one playing and very likely to be non-members. We are a members' club and the courts are very reasonably priced, guest fees have to be paid. This usage will be monitored and all players on court have to be entered as a named member or as a guest with appropriate guest fee. We hope that we don't have to raise this subject again.
