Court care and Christmas Doubles 2026

Dear member,

We need to remind you to take care of the courts at all times. Continued running into the back walls resulted in the recent closure and repair work to Court 1 and this appears to be a more frequent problem than previous years. The Sports Club has given us the go ahead for a maintenance contract to keep the back walls safe. We therefore need all players to refrain from any unnecessary running into the walls. We will be closely monitoring the condition of the courts and surrounding area from now on.

Last Friday evening highlighted the fact that we need to play with the fans on as there was a large amount of condensation on the walls. We therefore need to remind you that the fan switches that are above the control panels immediately on the right hand side when you enter the outer door to the courts need to be switched on.

Also a minority of members are inviting guests and not paying guest fees as the bookings are down as solo practice. This will be closely monitored and guest fees will be deducted from the members playing should this continue to happen. Guest fees should be expected and not paying them puts pressure on subscriptions at a time when we are having to cover large amounts on court repairs and maintenance contracts.

You all need to be aware of these matters and we hope that we don't have to raise again.

Back to the fun, which is what all play squash for! Christmas Doubles 2026 will be 3pm meet for 3.15pm start.

Not receiving Email Newsletters?

  • Login and check you email address is correct.
  • Contact Us if you changed your email address.
  • Check you spam/junk folders (and mark the message as "not spam/junk" if you find it there).
  • Add "horshamsportsclub@no-reply.mycourts.co.uk" to your Contacts list or email address book.
  • Contact your email service provider and ask them why you're not receiving messages sent from horshamsportsclub@no-reply.mycourts.co.uk.

  • Login to your Hotmail/Outlook account.

  • Go to Gmail Settings > Filters and Blocked Addresses. If "Horsham Sports Club <horshamsportsclub@no-reply.mycourts.co.uk>" appears in the list of blocked addresses, select "Horsham Sports Club <horshamsportsclub@no-reply.mycourts.co.uk>" and click "unblock selected addresses".

Other email service providers may have similar settings -- please follow their instructions. If not, contact their support desk and request delivery of messages from horshamsportsclub@no-reply.mycourts.co.uk.
